Cookie Policy
How cookies, local storage, and similar technologies are used by the Provia Career application.1. What Are Cookies And Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage and analytics identifiers, which we refer to collectively as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Essential Cookies
We use authentication cookies set by Supabase to create, maintain, and refresh your login session. These cookies are strictly necessary for logged-in areas of the app to function and cannot be switched off without losing access to your account.
3. Analytics And Product Cookies
- Google Analytics (GA4): collects information about pages visited and interactions to help us understand and improve product usage.
- PostHog: collects product-analytics events, and may include session-replay/recording and click-tracking features, to help us diagnose issues and improve the interview-practice experience.
- These tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers and may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Local Browser Storage
- Temporary onboarding drafts can be cached in your browser's local storage while you complete onboarding.
- Certain user settings can be cached locally to make the interface load faster.
- Signing out clears known local app cache keys and ends your Supabase session.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; note that blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent logged-in features from working. Where our analytics tools support opt-out mechanisms, we will provide equivalent controls in the product as they become available; you can also contact us at privacy@proviacareer.com to request that analytics tracking associated with your account be limited.
6. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies and similar technologies changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date.
